HKYHUB is a team hub for youth and travel hockey — schedules, RSVPs, rosters, messaging, rankings, and game challenges. Because our platform serves families and teams with minor athletes, we take privacy seriously and have written this policy to be readable by the parents, guardians, coaches, and team managers who use it. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have.
Account information. When you create an account we collect your name, email address, and an optional profile photo. If you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive your name and email from those providers. You may add optional profile details such as a bio or team affiliation.
Team and roster information. Coaches and team managers add team details — team name, age group, level, schedule, game results, and roster entries for players. Roster entries typically include a player's name, jersey number, and position.
Optional player medical and emergency information. Parents and guardians may choose to enter medical notes (such as allergies or conditions) and emergency contact details for their players so team staff can reference them at the rink. Providing this information is entirely optional and is only visible to that player's team staff and guardians.
Messages and content. We store the messages, posts, photos, RSVPs, and other content you create on the platform so we can deliver it to your team.
Device information. If you enable push notifications, we store a device token so we can deliver them.
We use your information to operate HKYHUB: creating and securing your account, displaying rosters and schedules to your team, delivering messages and notifications you have opted into, showing team records and rankings, processing payments you initiate, providing support, and keeping the platform safe. We do not use your information for third-party advertising, and we do not sell your data.
HKYHUB accounts are intended for adults and teens aged 13 and older — coaches, team managers, parents, guardians, and older players. We do not knowingly allow children under 13 to create their own accounts, and we do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13.
Information about younger players (such as a roster entry, jersey number, or optional medical and emergency details) is entered and managed by a parent, guardian, or authorized team staff member — not by the child. In line with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), we rely on parents and guardians as the source of consent for any information about their children that appears on the platform.
If you believe a child under 13 has created an account or that information about a child has been added without guardian consent, contact us at [email protected] and we will remove it promptly.
Parents and guardians can review the information stored about their children, correct it, or ask us to delete it at any time. Most roster and player details can be edited directly in the app; for anything else — including full deletion of a child's information — email us and we will act on the request within a reasonable time, typically within 5 business days.
Within your team. Rosters, schedules, RSVPs, and team chat are visible to members of your team. Optional player medical and emergency information is limited to that player's team staff and guardians.
Publicly. Team names, records, rankings, and game challenges may be visible to anyone, including signed-out visitors. Your email address is never shown publicly.
Service providers. We rely on a few trusted providers to run HKYHUB. They process data on our behalf under their own security and privacy commitments, and we do not give them rights to use your data for their own purposes:
Legal. We may disclose information if required by law, or when necessary to protect the safety of our users — particularly minors.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it with advertisers or data brokers.
With your permission, HKYHUB sends push notifications for team updates, messages, RSVP reminders, and game information. You can turn notifications off at any time in your device settings; doing so deactivates the stored device token.
We keep your information for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account in the app, removal begins immediately and typically completes within minutes. If you email us a deletion request instead, we act on it within 5 business days. Either way, your personal data is fully removed within 30 days at most, except where a short retention period is required for legal, security, or payment-record purposes. Team content you contributed (such as messages in a team chat) may persist in de-identified form for the rest of the team.
All traffic to HKYHUB is encrypted in transit with HTTPS, and data is encrypted at rest by our cloud providers. Access to player information is restricted by per-team permission rules enforced by our database, and sensitive fields like medical notes are limited to the team staff and guardians who need them. No system is perfectly secure, so we encourage you to use a strong, unique password and to keep your sign-in credentials private.
HKYHUB is operated from Michigan and serves youth and travel hockey communities across the United States. Your information is stored and processed in the United States. This policy is designed to comply with applicable US law, including COPPA.
We may update this policy as the platform evolves. When we make material changes we will update the date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you in the app. Continued use of HKYHUB after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
